Macau

A little late on the Macau update.

So we went to Macau for our three day weekend trip. Macau is just like a smaller version of Vegas. I think the best part I liked about it was the sight seeing and even then, that had its failed times. (walking through the fucking forest to get to the A-Ma statue but not ended up there and getting bitten by fucking insects that i probably dont even know the names to)

When we first got there, we went to China Port which was the border between Macau and China. We ate at this really shady dimsum place with a cat running around. But hey were all still good.

A-Ma Statue was pretty awesome. The temple was really nice too. Theres just something about going to temples and seeing these things that really interest me.

Night Life was pretty dead there. We tried looking for the supposedly poppin club, and that turned out to be a bust.

Casinos arent that fun if youre not a big gambler. Played the slots and it was eh...

We were also able to catch the firework show near the Macau tower. It was like 18 minutes long and pretty awesome. Although we were competing with prepubescent boys in shrieking. :/

The best part about the trip was the FOOD. We had this bomb ass PORTUGUESE EGG TART at Lord Stow's Bakery. mhmmmm GOOD! Then we ate at this Makinese/Portuguese restaurant and had curry crabs, smoked fish, portuguese fried rice, and some other stufff.. it was all so YUMMY!

Club Cixi

Night started off really stupid. We were all going to Club9 when the stupid people at the door wouldnt let us in unless we have a PASSPORT or HKID. First off who the FUCK carries a passport with them while the go clubbing and second, you cant even get a HKID unless you've proved that you lived here for more than 6 months. Anyways, we decided to head over to Beijing Club, only to find that it was for 21+... hello this is HK, everything is 18 and over. I swear it was like screw the exchange night.

Then we decided to hit up Sugar or Cixi and ended up going to Cixi. Right when we walked in, it felt so much better. The music was right and we got free alk so it was all fun from then on.

So there was a couple of interesting things that happened.

1. This rockband/hiphop group went onstage and was performing. I would say they were kinda horrible... but we enjoyed jumping up and down acting a fool and being their "fansee."

2. We ended up hanging out with the members of the group. Some were cool, some weren't.

3. We ended up eating out with some of the MCs at some place. The dude that was performing was such a douche. Alex was nice and the big guy was alright.

Overall it was an awesome night because they played E40-Tell Me When To Go (maybe cuz we requested it and they had it). My life was complete after that. Sucks that NO ONE got hyphy cept for a selected few. lols. Oh and us Americans ROCK at getting club dance parties started.

3 weeks in...

Wow, I can't believe 3 weeks has already gone by. I feel like I've been living here for a long time, yeah right jk. Right now, I can definitely say I miss my friends.

The passed couple weeks has been amazing no doubt, met so many people, created many friendships, but it just doesn't feel like home. It was raining hardcore today, hot muggy rain. It was lovely. lols

I also have not been into my school work at all. Tonight is the night I get cracking on my work. argh.

However, there hasn't been much update since the last post. I still feel like I'm going down the depression curve but it'll be ok. At least I'm getting more comfortable around here. I sort of know my place and where to go.

To see how my days are, just look at pictures on facebook. A picture is worth a thousand words. lols

Til next time,
PEACE OUT YO!

First Day of School

Today was probably one of the most hectic first day of school. The fact that I was enrolled in only two classes that I DONT want created a very uneasy feeling. Going into school with no classes makes me want to not go at all. lolz

Day starts off with my mom waking me up at 6 in the morning giving me a talk about how i need to focus on my studies because its going to be harder here and I need to get good grades, etc, etc, etc. I then went to the computer lab to sign up for the classes. You think that they would have more computer labs around here. Like Tiff said, its like looking for parking at the mall on the day after Thanksgiving or Black Friday. I don't like how the system works around here... I sooo miss Irvine and its easy to use webreg. At HK, you can all add the classes you want, but then you have to be approved for them, which is like a two week process, and we would have to sit in the classes. SO INCONVENIENT!! >_<

After all the chaos, we decided to go to Causeway Bay for shopping. Vicky and I feel in <3 with Uni QLo and Muji. They have super cute tees/organic things for a pretty reasonable price! I cant wait to shop at the street markets and start bargaining lols.

The BEST part about today was Hui Lai San. DESSERT THERE WAS AWESOME!!!! Mango Pudding with Fruits...YUM! They definitely need to open one up in LA.

SO far, it seems like were all starting to go down the emotion curve (phase unhappy). Hopefully, it'll get better soon. It seems like everything is so different that I want to go back. T_T

I'm tired. I will update more when I can. Until then...
