Different

Plane ride was… was LONG lol. It wasn’t bad though, there was little TV screens so I watched a couple of movies. The good thing was the on AA, no one sat next to me so I had a little more room to spread out and sleep. 10 hours later, I arrived in narita airport, Japan. I always thought it was super small, but its actually pretty big lol. Couldn’t really leave anywhere so I just sat around the airport for an hour. Then I was headed off to Hong Kong. This flight was a little different, more cramped and shorter distance. I watched one more and then went to sleep. I didn’t really know how jetlag was, but I definitely began to feel it. (I still feel it now). Mom, grandma and mom’s friend picked me up from their airport. Right when I stepped out of the airport, IT WAS FUCKING HOT AND HUMID AS FUCK! Omg, I was just sweating bullets just standing there. Imagine walking around. Hong Kong is definitely different from what I’m used to (duh). People take buses and taxis or walk.

Ever wonder why asian people drive horribly? Well I think I know why. Lol originated from the motherland. LOLZ these cars/trucks are crazy in traffic! The mover van that took me from my moms friends house to PMSR was literally 2inches away from the car in front of them and the dumpster truck was literally 2inches away from us. WTF. And when people cut people off… the car heading towards them cuts them off by switching lanes or swerving over. THESE PEOPLE DRIVE CRAZY!

Hong Kong is certainly very tall. Every building is at least 20 floors or higher. Streets are crowded and small. Not that I’m complaining. Just not like Irvines wide ass streets. Theres people everywhere, I find them to be a bit rude, but I guess that’s their way of life. When my friends told me that there were 7/11 on every corner, it was hard to believe, but I walked down a block and went passed at least 4 7/11s. also, they do not give you napkins, lol its so weird, good thing Jessie told me and I brought hella tissue paper with me.



As for where I’m living, its pretty ghetto I’m not going to lie. Lol people think CV is bad… yeah no… CVs like fancy compared to this. Lol I mean its not bad, just different. Nothing is free, AC we have to pay for, laundry, bus, taxi, etc etc. However, there are no tips and tax here, which is AWESOME! I’m living in a double with this chick from Spain. She seems chill. Everyone here is international. Because of the way rooms are arranged, its kinda hard to meet people cuz everyone has their door closed. Plus I’m freaking jetlagged as hell and I don’t feel like walking. Lol




HKU is very hilly, helllahhh walking today. Such a coincidence that when I arrived at PMSR, the first person I saw was RAY! Lol I was like yay! A familiar face! So we decided to venture off and have a look at the school. I must say, I do prefer IRVINE over HKU. So much easier to walk and not as many steps. Looking for these buildings were pretty hard too. I mean I had the advantage because I speak Cantonese but if I didn’t, omg I think I woulda died. They do speak English, but its totally like FOB. Everything was going all smooth and then I find out I couldn’t log into my something like a webmail. Apparently someone deactivated my account and what not so this is where the advantage in speaking Canto comes in. Everything else went ok, so now I just await the orientation tomorrow.

Cant wait to start actually meeting people and getting to know this city. It seems so difficult, but I think once I do learn it, everything will be such an ease. I hella miss all my friends and family and I wish they were here with me. It would make this even better.

A week left...

Soooo this will be my blog for my abroad experiences. Kinda want to remember what I thought/how I felt.

Holy shit, I can't believe there's only one more week before I leave for Hong Kong. It was only couple months ago when I was like, "dude, I've got so much time left." I thought I was able to do all the things I wanted to before I left, but damn time flies. I know I will hella miss my family and friends.

ok... ima go on a reminscing rampage right now. so deal with it.
Kels dear, what am I gna do without you?! damn I don't even know, clubbing experiences won't ever be the same (that is, until I get back). can't even go on about you cuz there's just too much!
Crystal, my dear Crystal! no more taeyang from big bang for a while... lols! all those late night talks and hanging out in what we can actually call home now! :[
Deanna, wassupwassup! omg girl its been two years! even though we been busy, we still manage to kick it once in a while! ima hella miss you and our crazy times together. (don't worry, i'll be back before you know it and all will be well.)
Vena, oh vena! four months before we can try another 21+ event! next time well be successful. if not... well hold our own event and get expensive alk! lol

damn this makes it seem like I'm never going ot come back... I think I'll stop. LOL.
